It has been a long, hot, August. Our first adventure took us to Ft. Clinch State Park in Amelia Island. It was just a short drive to go explore an abandoned fort. We saw "boom machines" (aka guns or cannons in Aidan speak). We had a great time exploring!
Our next adventure was playing with family that paid a visit! Grandma, Uncle Kyle, Aunt Karen, Zach, and Eric came to visit! We gave them a tour of the ship and took them to Aidan's favorite place, Ollie Koala's. The kids had a great time and the adults did, too!
And then there was Tropical Storm Fay.....
She FINALLY CAME and knocked down our fence!!! Luckily, we had good friends over to keep us company. KC's ship had to leave and we were hunkered down at home just waiting for the rain to stop. We kept ourselves busy by playing GeoTrax, dress up, dancing, mulitple crafts, and lots of snacking!
As you can see from the last 2 pics, our backyard flooded and the fence fell onto the playground. Trix got tired of the weather, too! She had to pee but didn't want to get wet. So, she peed under the slide! That kept us laughing for a bit! What a smart pooch!In that last pic, u can see her tail peeking out from underneath the slide.

I love the pics of ft clinch...very cute...and in the pics of yall at ollies michael used to have that dr pepper shirt too..i wonder what happened to it..it looks like yall have had a blast...
