Holy Crap, Its been almost a year...

since I updated this thing... I guess moving to another state, finding a house, finding a pre-k, and getting a kid registered for kindergarten, and just plain getting back to life in VA has kept me away from my blog.

We are staying in a lovely house in an established neighborhood. We were really lucky to find this place! It is about a 10 min walk to Aidan's elementary school. We also found a pre-k pretty quickly. Resurrection Lutheran Church and School was awesome! Aidan fit right in and started on his 5th birthday at his request! He met some new friends quickly and graduated to Kindergarten!

Our summer was lazy. KC was gone alot with the boat so we just plain hung out! We had visists from grandpa and grandma Kathy, and then Mammo, and finally, grandma Dottie. Loads of fun! Aidan loved showing off his new place and new school!

Of course, KC has been busy with the ship! USS ENTERPRISE takes alot of work! He said it was like coming home again or a high school reunion! He seems to know lots of folks on the ship or associated with the ship. He is gone alot and that won't change much until he PCS's or changes duty stations on or about January 2012. But such is life in the Navy.

Aidan has adapted pretty well to daddy going back out to sea. He asks when dad will be home alot and over and over but we solved that by getting a calendar and marking off our days. I forgot how long a week can seem to a kid! To me, its not that bad, tolerable. To Aidan, its an eternity. KC and I are really good at giving him a heads up about when dad has to be away for a while. We have even talked about the deployment when KC has to be away for 6 months. I don't know if Aidan gets that length of time yet, but he will live that soon enough.

Hopefully, now with Aidan in school, I can catch up on this blog. I would like to share Aidan's first day of BIG BOY school! Yay!
